Bio

Helena Wulff is a Canadian artist who was born in Caracas, Venezuela. She started drawing and painting everything around her with ease from a very young age, which led her to finding a career in the world of Design. She joined the Atelier for painters in Caracas when she was 10 years old, and spent many years learning to paint in different mediums from carbon pencil to oils from several well know local painters at the Art School, as well as taking many seminars in different venues like the Museum of Contemporary Art in Caracas among others. She studied Design (Fashion, Graphic, Interior and Industrial design) in Caracas and continued her Design studies in Toronto, at Ryerson University and Sheridan College where she graduated with honours in 1991. After a successful career in the fashion industry, she had the opportunity to focus her time as a professional painter at her studio, while raising her kids. Helena's current artwork is the result of a long journey experimenting with texture, light, colour and different mediums. Each piece undergoes many phases giving a strong sense of depth and texture to her paintings. Her art is bright, painterly and joyful. Helena is inspired by nature, fashion, people and her many travels. She is a member of The North Toronto Group of Artists and she has also been involved in promoting the Arts through education and community networking in Ontario. Helena's award winning art can be found in numerous private and corporate collections across Canada, The United States, Bermuda, Brazil and Venezuela.
